Authorities said the person killed when a car drove off of a cliff in Santa Cruz on Thursday was a UC Santa Cruz student. investigators say two people were in the car on West Cliff Drive, when, for some reason, the car left the road and fell down the cliff and into the water. One person was ab le to get out of the car on their own. Rescue swimmers pulled the other person out of the submerged car, but they died at the hospital.
