BATON ROUGE mdash; A man was arrested after allegedly shooting a woman during a fight on La Margie Avenue.nbsp;According to arrest records, on June 29, officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department responded to a shooting on La Margie Avenue.Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old woman suff ering from gunshot wounds to her right breast and lower abdomen. She received medical treatment on scene before being transported to a local hospital for additional care.nbsp;Officers later interviewed a 21-year-old woman who advised that she had previously engaged in a fight with the girlfriend of 20-year-old Jamario Carney.The woman claimed that during the fight, Carney produced a firearm before allegedly firing multiple rounds toward the group.nbsp;The 20-year-old woman who was struck by gunfire attempted to intervene in the altercation by deploying bear mace when she sustained gunshot wounds.According to officers, multiple witnesses independently identified Carney as the alleged shooter.Video of the incident that had been livestreamed and was circulating on social media also showed the fight, including the moment Carney allegedly fired about three shots in the direction of the 20-year-old woman.nbsp;Carney was arrested on Friday for attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons and possession of machine guns.Permalink| Comments ...read more read less
