St. Thomas Aquinas hopes to “meat” you at Sausagefest INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — For the 22nd year, SausageFest will give people the chance to “meat” up to benefit St. Thomas Aquinas Church School. Chris Durnil, an organizer for the event, “linked” with WISH-TV’s News 8 at “Day break” to talk about what you can expect from the festivities. “We call it the best fest in the Midwest,” said Durnil. He says that this fundraiser is incredibly important for making sure that St. Thomas Aquinas church is able to maintain their facilities. Durnil also says that the event will have activities for all ages. He says that there will be dedicated zones for young kids and teens as well as a wine and beer garden. Over the course of the festival, he says that they normally around 10,000 sausages get eaten. “We’re welcoming everybody,” said Durnil. He says that his favorite part of SausageFest is the fellowship and community. SausageFest will run from 5:30 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas church.
