Secretary of State Marco Rubio sat down for a rare interview with his wife, Jeanette Dousdebes Rubio. The couple, who married in 1998 and share four children, are now offering insights that neither could hide from. Instead, he froze before a cheeky reminder about the president’s long run in the public eye. “He’s funny, but he’s not a joke teller. He’s a great narrator,” noted Rubio, before blurting out, “People don’t realize like he’s been a public figure for almost half a century.” View on Threads Trump knew everyone according to Rubio, who’s become “fascinated” by his boss’s stories. He then blurted out another bizarre bit about celebrities and actors. However, Rubio began to ramble before abruptly mentioning Michael Jackson’s name. “He knew Michael Jackson. He knew everybody,” Rubio claimed. “If you ask him about somebody, he’ll go back and tell you about them. And, and, um, it’s pretty — it’s pretty amazing life he’s lived.” Social media users who caught the exchange from that Aug. 11 podcast episode noticed the secretary sweating and appearing nervous when asked about Trump. “Sweating from jonseing,” said one person, while another individual added, “Rubio is cooked.” A third person said, “He didn’t KNOW Michael Jackson. He MET Michael Jackson.” More piled on with jokes about his unbelievable story, “Rubio left out the part of the story where Don says that he showed Michael how to do the moonwalk.” Later during the interview, State Department chief moved on to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Health Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He humorously described his unusual relationship with the “secretary of war.” As both men have families with multiple animals, Rubio recalled the time his dog once wandered into Pete’s open-door home. He said the Hegseths’ cats drew his dog inside, while noting that one of his fellow Cabinet member’s cats regularly sits on Rubio’s porch like it owns the place. They keep their front door open because they have cats, which I never took Pete for a cat guy. Oh my God.” Rubio said he would often come home to find Hegseth’s wife Jennifer Rauchet’s cat sitting on his porch. He said the cat would stare at him with an “attitude” as if to say, “What are you doing here?” Miller piled on, joking about Pete having “a lot” of cats, before Rubio’s wife dropped a line that seemingly read as a jab at the entire Hegseth family. “Well, there’s a lot of kids,” Jeanette chimed in and continued laughing long afterward. Pete Hegseth and his wife, Jennifer, have a blended family of seven children. The pair married in 2017, bringing together four children from previous relationships and later welcoming three sons of their own during their marriage. “You can’t be serious,” said one critic, while another person enjoyed Hegseth being thrown under the bus. After joking about Hegseth’s family cat repeatedly invading his space, the Rubios then took a shot at Kennedy’s famously restrictive diet. It’s not sustainable.” When asked if he supported MAHA — Kennedy’s “Make America Healthy Again” campaign — Rubio’s wife replied, “He is not. He is completely not. He eats all the things you should not be eating … every single thing.” Fans erupted when the secretary’s wife threw him under the bus by revealing that Rubio’s favorite food is Pop-Tarts. RFK Jr. clearly got the joke, firing back with a meme that turned Rubio’s alleged Pop-Tart habit into the punchline.
