4 PM WEATHER 8-12-26 INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The chance of rain storms will continue into the weekend. More flooding and severe weather remain a concern.   WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Scattered evening storms are possible. Some additional rain storms may redevelop during the night, especi ally SW of Indy. Ongoing flooding issues will continue. Lows will be in the 60s to lower 70s. Areas of fog are also possible. THURSDAY: Variably cloudy with a chance of additional rain storms, expectably during the afternoon and evening hours.  Heavy rain flooding is a threat along with the risk for some damaging wind gusts and hail. A LEVEL 1 severe risk is in effect. Highs look to be mainly in the 80s. THURSDAY NIGHT: More storms with heavy rain may redevelop.  We’ll have to watch for additional flooding.  Lows will be in the 60s to lower 70s. FRIDAY: Storms with additional heavy and flooding potential are possible. There is also a LEVEL 1 severe weather risk.  Highs stay in the 80s.   FRIDAY NIGHT SATURDAY: Another wave of rain and storms could affect our area. This is uncertain, but it’s worth watching since we’ve had a rash of active weather of late. Things look to dry out a bit and warm up by Saturday afternoon with highs pushing into the upper 80s. SUNDAY: A very warm and humid day is on tap with highs around 90 and higher heat indices. There is a chance of some late day and evening storms with a cold front. NEXT WEEK: A cold front may keep the chance of some showers storms going Monday, especially across southern Indiana.  After that, the pattern turns around leading to a stretch of dry days.  Highs in the lower 80s may be the norm for a few days early next week with more comfortable overnight lows before we warm back up.   ...read more read less
