Irving police and the FBI held a press conference at the Irving Police Department Criminal Justice Center, located at 305 N. O’Connor Rd, where authorities announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Hector Vicente Paguada Paguada. Paguada, a capital murder suspect, is w anted in connection with two homicides that occurred in Irving in 2024. 55-year-old Juana Medina Rodriguez and 23-year-old Nayeli Bolanos Medina were shot to death at an apartment complex. Two women were arrested and charged with tampering with or fabricating evidence in relation to their deaths. Police said they helped Hector Vicente Paguada Paguada, also known as Hector Matute, avoid arrest and tampered with evidence. Matute and Bolanos Medina were in a relationship and broke up a week before the shooting, according to her brother. Bolanos Medina’s five-year-old son witnessed the shootings. The fatal shooting happened on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, in the 2000 block of West Irving Boulevard at the Park Springs Apartments. Irving Police said Paguada killed Medina and her mother, Rodriguez, and is wanted on capital murder charges. Authorities ask the public to stay vigilant and call 9-1-1 immediately if they know Paguada’s whereabouts. They urge civilians not to approach or contact him.
