Police in Springfield Township are on the lookout for a man who, allegedly, exposed himself to customers at a Dollar Tree store on Aug. 5, 2026. And, officials have said, incidents like this — especially when they happen at stores like Dollar Tree — could be part of an online trend. In the Springfield Township incident, police have an active warrant out for Jhet Larose, 30, from Brookhaven after he, allegedly, exposed himself to customers at a Dollar Tree store along the 400 block of Baltimore Pike on Aug. 5, 2026. Resources for victims of sexual assault are available through the National Sexual Violence Resources Center and the National Sexual Assault Telephone Hotline at 800-656-4673. Though, officials said, police do not know a motive in this case. In this incident, officials are asking Larose to turn himself in. However, following a similar crime that happened at a Buck County Dollar Tree store, officials have said incidents could be part of an online trend involving nonconsensual sexual misconduct in retail stores. A law enforcement official recently told NBC10’s Deanna Durante that officials have seen a trend of men targeting unsuspecting female customers, frequently at Dollar Tree locations, by exposing themselves and performing other lewd acts. In a statement on this trend, officials from Dollar Tree have said that these crimes are “unacceptable” and the stores are committed to having effective safety and security programs. “The safety and security of our associates and customers are our highest priorities. We take reports of inappropriate, unlawful, or harassing behavior in our stores extremely seriously. Any incident of this nature is unacceptable, and when we become aware of criminal activity, we cooperate fully with law enforcement and support their investigations,” a Dollar Tree spokesperson said in a statement. “Dollar Tree is committed to having effective safety and security programs. Through policies, training, and operational procedures, we work to maintain a safe and secure environment for associates, customers, and visitors. Our efforts include ongoing safety education, regular policy reviews, risk assessment and mitigation activities, investments in physical security measures, and collaboration with local law enforcement.
