A Chick-fil-A worker went above and beyond — and down the street — to help a customer. On July 8, Kingsley Ifedi was traveling by car in Duluth, Georgia, when he witnessed a Chick-fil-A employee from the chain’s Sugarloaf Road and Satellite Boulevard location on the run. The worker cha sing a customer’s car while holding a drink was a literal and figurative fast-food moment — and it went viral. “Oh, God,” Ifedi says in the video, before realizing the woman in the street is a Chick-fil-A employee. “That is crazy,” says his wife, Neyi Ifedi, who is off-camera. “She need a tip.” The worker then slows down to a walking pace and hands the beverage to a driver in a red sedan at a red light, and Ifedi drives away. “If you’re a business owner and you just saw that, you just saw that lady running after the car,” he says, guessing that the customer must have driven off without the drink. “She’s on the road running. Listen, if you have that level of service, you will win.” “People remember that,” Ifedi adds. “People don’t always remember what you do, but they always remember how you make them feel.” The video has many comments, some complimenting the sprinting Chick-fil-A employee’s work ethic and others criticizing her selfless service. “Popeyes would neva 🤣,” commented one person. “Now’s that’s dedication,” another wrote. Someone else pointed out the high temperature that day (which was 92 degrees), joking that they “would’ve asked for a ride back.” Others side-eyed her choice to run down “busy 4-lane road to deliver forgotten coffee” and called the action “a walking liability.” “Nah sis don’t risk your life for me. I’ll soon remember I forgot it and come back 😂,” wrote one more. Chick-fil-A declined to comment or reveal the employee’s name to TODAY.com. One commenter who claimed to be her daughter said folks “who know her know that she loves to take care of her guests and she has such a big and beautiful heart,” adding that she’s a 15-year veteran of the restaurant and “a community legend.” Ifedi, who says he was “just driving by” and didn’t even stop at the location to eat, is on the complimentary side of the coin. “We weren’t even stopping at Chick-fil-A that morning; we had somewhere to go,” Ifedi tells TODAY.com. “I was in town for my wedding.” The newlywed says, though, he’ll be popping in there on a less eventful visit to Duluth. “We literally were just driving by,” Ifedi says, adding that the worker’s actions wowed him. “It’s just a coffee.
