Colts joint practice vs Pats FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WISH) — The Colts took part in their first joint practice during training camp on Tuesday in New England with the Patriots. Daniel Jones had another solid day, at one point completing 11 straight passes in a seven-on-seven drill. “I was j ust really pleased with the whole operation – the communication at the line of scrimmage, going to the right spot with the ball, guys making plays for him, the o-line protecting for him. Just very pleased,” Colts head coach Shane Steichen said about his quarterback. The team was excited to get to face off against against an opposing team for the first time this season, especially with the chance to play against the team that won the AFC last season. “It’s definitely cool to bond with your team, get out of Indy a little bit… Being able to get out for a couple days is pretty cool and compete against another team,” Colts wide receiver Josh Downs said. “So I thought it was definitely fun out here today, and we’re going to prepare for the game on Thursday.” “It’s good to change the scenery throughout camp to be able to play a great defense in the Patriots, likewise for our defense with their offense,” Colts tight end Tyler Warren said. “It’s good to be out here and get some good work and excited to keep working throughout this week and then for the game on Thursday.” The Colts and Patriots are scheduled to kick off at 7:30 on Thursday night.
