A Bel Air seafood restaurant announced its immediate closure. Steelefish Grille has shut its doors for good after 14 years in business. “It is with a heavy heart that we need to announce the immediate closure of SteeleFish Grille,” the restaurant’s owners announced in a Facebook pos t. “We would like to thank this wonderful community for all of your support over these past 14 years. It has been our [pleasure to] serve you.” The family-owned restaurant was located at 660 Boulton St. in Bel Air, near the Harford Mall. “A sea-minded restaurant with a feast of delicious flavors,” their website reads. The owners’ closed one of their other restaurants, Sunset Cove, in 2025. Their other restaurant, Hickory Lodge, remains open. Steelefish Grille’s menu ranged from Maryland crab cakes and blackened Atlantic grouper to an ahi tuna poke bowl and a burger topped with crab dip. Comments poured in from customers saddened by the news. Many offered job opportunities for former staff members looking for new employment. “Wow will miss. You have the best fried green tomatoes with crab champagne sauce i have EVER TASTED,” wrote Kimberly K-Muhlen. “Love the staff, love the owner and I’m going to miss my neighborhood bar. Wishing you all well!” Holly Smith wrote. “Just there with grandkids, and went often with my mom for their awesome salads. So sad, feel bad for long time staff,” wrote Susan E. Fisher. “Me and the guys in Burn Barrel had so much fun playing gigs at Steelfish. The staff were always so nice to us and our audience!
