The Philadelphia Portal is looking for a new home in the city after nearly two years at City Hall. The move will take place on Oct. 31, 2026. The device, which was moved from New York City as a part of Philadelphia’s America 250 celebrations in 2024, connects Philadelphia to cities around th e world. The Portals Organization is looking to fill support positions in the following areas for the Portal by the end of September: A hosting partner with access to a prominent, publicly accessible location with open space, power, and internet connectivity A sponsoring partner to help relocate, refurbish, and participate in the portal system Local partners and civic leaders who can help with introductions, approvals, and site coordination The organization says these roles can be filled by one organization, or by multiple partners who will work together to support the Portal. If local partnerships are not found by the end of September, the portal may need to relocate to another city.
