A customer was assaulted and robbed while preparing to make a deposit at a PNC Bank in Wilmington, Delaware, police said. According to the Delaware State Police, on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, just before 10 p.m., troopers were called to PNC Bank at 2203 Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington after receiving a report about a robbery. Police said an investigation revealed that an individual was preparing to make a deposit when an unknown suspect approached, assaulted them, and demanded money. After a brief struggle, police said the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim went to a nearby medical facility to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
