Community Link 8/9/26 INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each week on Community Link, Carolene Mays takes a look at an organization or business that is making a positive impact on the community. This week, Mays was joined by Chasten Harmon, owner of Pure Green in Fishers, who is turning a personal hea lth journey into a community resource. Harmon, a former theater and film performer, recently opened a Pure Green franchise in Fishers to provide healthy food and beverage options. The move follows her own autoimmune diagnosis, which required a transition to a strictly anti-inflammatory diet. “The more I started talking to people, the more I realized so many people suffer from this,” Harmon said. “I wanted to bring some healthy options to Fishers, Indiana, to give people resources and access to food that serves their bodies as opposed to causes more inflammation.” Pure Green specializes in products made without fillers, glues, gums, preservatives or added sugars. The menu includes handcrafted superfood smoothies, acai bowls, cold-pressed juices, oatmeal and toast. One featured product, the “Melon Hydrate” juice, contains watermelon, strawberries, Himalayan salt, probiotics and lime. Harmon said nutritionists formulated the drink for sports performance and cellular rehydration. “Pure Green prides itself on matching nutrition with excellent taste,” Harmon said. “That’s why it really stands out because the smoothies are delicious, the acai bowls are delicious, and the different juice flavors that they have all are really amazing flavor-wise.” Harmon noted that many competitors use acai scooped from buckets, which often contains high sugar content and fillers. In contrast, her shop uses organic pureed acai from Brazil containing 12 grams of sugar. “It’s literally just the berry blended with a little bit of liquid,” Harmon said. “So there’s none of the extra in it. So it’s the purest form of acai that you can get.” The smoothies are also prepared without ice to ensure every ingredient provides nutrients. Located at 8594 E. 116th St., the shop sits adjacent to City Hall and the Nickel Plate Trail.
