Two men were shot Sunday morning right outside Temple University Hospital in North Philadelphia, police said. According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the shooting happened on the 3400 block of Germantown Ave. just before noon on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026. Police said one of the victims w alked into Temple University Hospital, while the second victim was transported into the hospital by police. NBC10 was on scene as police taped off an area directly in front of the hospital’s emergency entrance and trauma center. Several bullets were visible, as well as at least eight evidence markers. A nearby resident told NBC10 that she heard two rounds of gunfire. She said she counted eight gunshots during the first round and about five more during the second.
