An investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death inside a car on Friday evening, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. Officers were called to the 4300 block of North 7th Street in the Hunting Park section of North Philadelphia around 6:25 p.m., police said. When of ficers got to the scene, they said they found a man who had been shot one time in the chest who was unresponsive inside a silver-colored BMW. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries, according to police. Officials told NBC10 that evidence suggests the shooting did not happen where the car was found. Investigators believe the man was driving through the area when a single shot hit him. He continued driving until his crashed into a parked car and came to a stop. Neighbors said they never heard the crash, but instead explained that the car must have rolled to a stop. No arrests have been made in connection to this shooting and officials have not revealed what led up to it. The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating.
