On Friday at 3:56 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated flash flood warning in effect until 6 p.m. for Delaware and Sullivan counties."At 3:56 p.m., local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain in northern Sullivan County around Hankins. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in an hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring," says the weather service.
