Maryland holds town halls to hear ideas to use opioid settlement funds

Maryland’s Office of Overdose Response started its town hall meetings with the public to figure out how the state will use a quarter of a billion dollars it will receive from opioid companies over the next 15 years.
People from a handful of organizations related to opioid addiction and its
symptoms chimed in on how they think the money could best be used.
Ideas ran the gambit from helping provide dentures and dental care to better prevention to help people get transportation to treatment facilities.
