Mandatory evacuation orders and warnings remain in effect in Calaveras County as the Gann Fire continues to threaten homes east of Stockton. The wildfire, which started Tuesday evening, has grown to more than 7,000 acres. At least one home has been destroyed by the fire, and while there is no official count of damaged structures, NBC Bay Area crews have observed additional homes destroyed. The growing fire danger in Northern California comes as large wildfires continue burning out of control in Oregon and Washington state.
