A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized after being shot Tuesday night in Allentown, according to police. Around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of S. Carlisle and E. Union streets after receiving a report of a shooting. When they arrived, police said they found the 16-year-old suffering fr om a gunshot wound. First responders transported the teen to a hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Police did not provide a suspect description, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. The Allentown Police Criminal Investigation Unit is leading the investigation.
