A Philadelphia man was sentenced to 11 years in prison and ordered to pay $134,000 in restitution for his role in Brinks truck robberies or attempted robberies in 2025, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said on Tuesday. Mujahid Davis, 24, plead guilty in March 2026 to charges for two robberies and two attempted robberies of Brinks trucks in the Philadelphia region, as well as several other related charges, prosecutors said. Léelo en español aquí The first two incidents occurred on July 2 and July 15 in Philadelphia, and a third on Aug. 12 in Elkins Park before Davis took part in targeting a Brinks truck for a fourth time on Oct. 3, prosecutors said. The last incident resulted in a police chase from City Avenue in Philadelphia to Bala Cynwyd. In total, Davis admitted to stealing $122,225 from Brinks, Inc., prosecutors said. In addition to his prison term and restitution, Davis was also sentenced to five years of supervised release, prosecutors said. Davis’ co-defendant, Dante Shackleford, 27, plead guilty in April and will be sentenced later this month, prosecutors said. Brinks truck robberies have continued in Philadelphia since Davis and Shackleford’s arrests, with the latest occurring on April 21, 2026.
