The idea came after Daly brought a lasagna to her friend Alex following the death of h is wife, Amanda, who died at 33. Daly said she did not know what else to do and defaulted to what she had always done for people in her life, make lasagna. She later developed a business plan around the concept. Daly started cooking out of her home kitchen. After a television appearance in which she offered a discount code on air, she received 50 orders overnight. The volume pushed her to relocate to a commercial kitchen in Beech Grove, where she still operates.
