A man who was killed last month has been identified after the shooting that also left a woman wounded in the South Chicago neighborhood.Jose Ariel Gonzalez, 40, and a 32-year-old woman were in the 8900 block of South Escanaba Avenue around 3:05 a.m. July 26 when they were both shot, Chicago police a nd the Cook County medical examiner's office said. Gonzalez was shot in his neck and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he died, police said.
