TODAY Expect another unsettled start to the day across central Indiana. Showers remain likely through the morning, with scattered showers and perhaps a rumble of thunder continuing into the afternoon as the slow-moving storm system gradually exits the region. Highs only reach the uppe r 70s, making it feel much cooler than a typical early August day. While there will be breaks in the rain, keep the umbrella nearby because additional showers can develop with little notice. The good news is that rainfall coverage should gradually decrease later in the afternoon as drier air begins working into the state.  TONIGHT A few isolated showers may linger during the evening before skies gradually begin clearing overnight. Lows settle into the mid 60s with a light north breeze. The trend will finally be toward quieter weather, and by daybreak most locations should be dry.  TOMORROW A refreshing change arrives to begin the workweek. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies with highs near 80 degrees. A light northeast breeze and noticeably lower humidity will make it feel much more comfortable than recent days. After a soggy weekend, Monday should provide an excellent opportunity to get back outside for a walk, run, or lunch outdoors without worrying about widespread rain. Most of central Indiana stays dry throughout the day. TOMORROW NIGHT Mostly clear and comfortably cool with lows in the lower to middle 60s. Winds remain light, and humidity stays low enough for excellent sleeping weather. It should be one of the nicest nights we’ve experienced in several weeks. TUESDAY Mostly sunny with highs warming into the lower 80s. Humidity remains comfortable through much of the day, although a weak disturbance could spark an isolated afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm. Most communities will stay dry, and many locations won’t see any rain at all. Overall, Tuesday continues the pleasant stretch of weather while temperatures begin a gradual climb back toward seasonal levels.  TUESDAY NIGHT Partly cloudy with a slight chance of an isolated evening shower before skies become mostly clear overnight. Lows fall into the mid 60s with light winds and continued comfortable humidity. WEDNESDAY Sunshine mixes with a few afternoon clouds as highs climb into the lower to middle 80s. Humidity remains relatively comfortable, although it begins inching upward compared to Monday and Tuesday. Most of central Indiana stays dry, making Wednesday another great day for outdoor plans before warmer and more humid weather gradually returns later in the week.  7 DAY FORECAST The unsettled weather continues through much of Sunday before rain gradually tapers off Sunday night. Monday through Wednesday brings a welcome stretch of comfortable temperatures, lower humidity, and plenty of dry weather. Highs remain near 80 Monday before warming into the lower and middle 80s Tuesday and Wednesday. By late next week, humidity begins increasing again, and scattered afternoon shower and thunderstorm chances slowly return as a more typical August weather pattern reestablishes itself across central Indiana. ...read more read less
