CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person was shot and killed after a robbery call and a car crash in Uptown, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Around 1 a.m. Sunday, police responded to North McDowell Street and East 5th Street in regards to a reported robbery. Upon arrival, officers d iscovered a crash involving two cars and with four victims. One person was transported with life-threatening injuries and three others were taken with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim with life-threatening injuries had a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police said they are not looking for any additional suspects at this time.
