1,100 and counting
Aug 01, 2026
While the Park City mayor and City Council members enjoy their fresh new paychecks followed almost immediately by a summer recess, PLACE-PC volunteers have been gathering signatures around town to halt the Bonanza 5-acre mixed-use development project.
As of last weekend, there have been over 1
,100 signatures collected in support of the petition. By the time this is published, that number will certainly be outdated. What began as a modest grassroots movement a few weeks ago has grown into something quite special.
This campaign is not a fringe group of rich, spoiled NIMBYs. These are real Parkites — friends, families, neighbors — in ever growing numbers who oppose more high-density development on our small, but beautiful piece of Earth.
If you’re still looking to sign the petition, keep an eye out for volunteers all around town from The Market to PC MARC to Main Street. It’s getting harder and harder to ignore the white shirts with one simple message: More Park. Less City.
