(Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR August 1)–Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) this week announced that portions of three streets will close beginning the week of August 3. The closures are as follows: Fremont Street between 66th and 68th streets wi ll close beginning Monday, August 3, for utility work. This work is expected to be completed by Thursday, August 6. “O” Street at 40th Street will have an eastbound inside lane closure beginning Tuesday, August 4, for water main replacement work. This lane closure is expected to remain in place through Friday, August 7. 56th Street between Van Dorn Street and Normal Boulevard will have a northbound inside lane closure beginning Wednesday, August 5, for pavement repairs. This work is expected to be completed by August 14. Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public’s patience during these closures and reminds community members that project start and end dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
