Concerts on the Slopes: Boney James Park City Performing Arts’ Concerts on the Slopes series will present Four-time Grammy Award-nominee and contemporary jazz superstar Boney James at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Canyons Village. The show will open with Take 5. Boney James, whose most recent album is titled “Slow Burn,” has become one of the most successful instrumental artists over the past three decades. Carefree Highway: A Musical Road Trip  Mountainland Association of Governments, Jewish Family Service and the Park City Library will “hit the open road” from 1-2:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 at the Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave., with a program called Carefree Highway: A Musical Road Trip. In this joyful, memory-friendly program, participants will travel across the country through music, memories, maps and games. They’ll trace routes and “visit” familiar places, sing along to classic travel tunes, play favorite road trip games, share vacation stories and enjoy tasty snacks along the way. The event is designed to spark connection, conversation and laughter and is open to caregivers of all ages, adults ages 60 and older and individuals living with memory loss, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
