More than 1,000 North Texas students will get a hand up ahead of the start of the 2026-2027 school year. It’s all thanks to the Dream Center Dallas, volunteers, businesses, churches, and other local community partners. The Director of the Dream Center Dallas, Kacie Kintz, said the event will ha ppen Saturday, August 1, as one of their biggest outreach events of the year. “Families won’t just receive backpacks; they’ll experience encouragement, community resources, free produce, vendors, and a welcoming environment that reminds them they’re seen and cared for,” Kintz said.
