In the town of fewer than 1,000 people, Brad Fisher was known as a versatile public servant who wore many hats. The town marshal died Wednesday morning after being struck by a stolen van during a police pursuit in Randolph County , the Indiana State Police said. The woman being pursued was in jail Wednesday night. The Randolph County Sheriffs Department requested that State Police investigate the fatal pursuit. At a vigil held Thursday night, hundreds gathered at a baseball field at his alma mater, Randolph Southern Junior-Senior High School, to honor Fisher. My dad was truly a one-of-a-kind man who touched the lives and hearts of so many people, his daughter, Zoe Fisher, said.He put his life on the line for us, for our safety, said Matt Windham, pastor of Lynn Friends Church.Fishers impact on the community spanned decades.
