A wildfire broke out along the coast of Sonoma County Thursday, prompting authorities to issue evacuation orders and shut down a portion of Highway 1. The wind-driven Woodside Fire burning near Salt Point State Park has scorched at least 100 acres in heavy timber, according to Cal Fire. Evacua tion orders were issued for zone SON-1D1, Salt Point State Park, Steelwater Cove Regional Park, Ocean Cove Private Camp, and the Timber Cove Subdivision, according to Cal Fire. An evacuation warning was issued for zone SON-1D2. Highway 1 was shut down between Stewarts Point-Skaggs Springs Road and Timber Cove Road, officials said. This is a developing story.
