7-30-26- Daphnee Allen INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Gen Con is buzzing in downtown Indianapolis, and Kosmos is drawing steady crowds with new releases and fan favorites. “At Kosmos, we create games for kids, families — pretty much everyone who wants to have fun,” said Daphne Allen, marketing lead for Kosmos. “‘The Crew’ is a hot one today because it is exclusively launching at Gen Con, so get your hands on it here. You have to get here to get it first. It’s an exclusive global launch,” Allen said. “It’s a cooperative trick-taking game. You have limited communication. You travel around the world to find Charlemagne’s treasure.” “Fourth Wing” is another big draw. “This is for ‘Fourth Wing’ fans of the romance book series. You don’t have to read the series, but it’s for the 16-plus age group. The questions get a little spicy,” Allen said. “‘The Gang’ deluxe edition is also a hot one this year. We have a deluxe edition with casino-quality chips and cards. There is just a lot of excitement behind the hot launches.” For Allen, Gen Con is all about community and connection. “It is like 70,000 people coming together, celebrating board games. And yeah, you can really feel the community aspect here,” she said. “This is not video games. This is not digital. It is about connecting with people, screen-free, getting hands-on immersive experiences, and just having fun.” ...read more read less
