Lincoln Police cruiser (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR July 29)–A 21-year-old Beatrice man has been cited for first-offense DUI, after his vehicle was found stopped in the road and he was passed out behind the wheel at a west Lincoln intersection early Wednesday morning. Lincoln Police say of ficers were called about 2am to the northbound exit of Highway 77 at West “O” Street, where Jayce Brown was found unconscious in his pickup truck. LPD says officers tried to wake up Brown before calling Lincoln Fire and Rescue to help. Police say as officers were trying to wake up him up, Brown took his foot off the brake and hit an LFR ambulance head on that left $5,000 in damage. Crews had to break a window to safely remove Brown from the truck. Police also found two open beer cars and an open case in the truck. A breath sample determined Brown’s BAC was 0.179. Aside from first-offense DUI, Brown was also arrested and put in the Lancaster County Jail for careless driving and no proof of financial responsibility.   ...read more read less
