Three men are facing multiple felony charges after a shooting left a victim with life-threatening injuries, according to the San Francisco Police Department. At approximately 2:58 p.m. Monday, SFPD officers assigned to the Drug Market Agency Coordination Center were patrolling the area of Market and Jones streets when they heard gunshots. Officers searched the area and discovered a victim who had been shot. The suspect had fled the scene on foot. Police rendered aid until medics arrived and transported the victim to a hospital for life-threatening injuries. Through the course of the investigation, police identified three suspects. Officers responded to Waller Street to search for them, and at approximately 5:52 p.m., they observed the suspects exiting an apartment complex in the 100 block. When officers attempted to detain them, the suspects fled. Following a brief foot pursuit, police were able to quickly apprehend them, the department said. Officers developed probable cause to arrest Donovan Redmond Hayes, 22, and Deandre Gippson, 30, both of San Francisco. During the arrest, police located and allegedly seized a loaded firearm and other evidence related to the incident. Investigators subsequently developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant for the residence of one of the suspects. Officers served the warrant at the residence on the 100 block of Waller Street and seized additional evidence related to the shooting. Hayes and Gippson were transported to the San Francisco County Jail, where they were booked on multiple felony charges. Hayes was booked for suspicion of attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public, felon in possession of ammunition and an Alameda County arrest warrant for violation of petty theft. Gippson was booked for suspicion of felon in possession of ammunition and possession of methamphetamine. At approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers located the third suspect on the 5400 block of Third Street. Police developed probable cause and placed 26-year-old Terry Brown into custody. Brown was arrested on suspicion of felony charges of assault upon a person with a firearm, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public and probation violation. ...read more read less
