LEXINGTON, Ky. — LexTran announced that the city’s public transit system will perform scheduled maintenance Wednesday, July 29, that will affect riders’ ability to track buses in real time.
Real-time information in the MyStop Mobile app, through the Text-for-Next system, and on the LexTran web
site will be unavailable from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., according to the transit authority. All buses will continue operating on their regular routes throughout the outage, LexTran said.
Route schedules are available on the LexTran website for riders who need service information during the maintenance window. LexTran operates 26 routes throughout Lexington and Fayette County, serving approximately 12,100 riders on weekdays.
LexTran, the Transit Authority of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, serves the city with fixed-route bus service, paratransit options, and the recently launched LexRide downtown circulator service. The system operates seven days a week from 5 a.m. to midnight.
For trip planning assistance during or outside the maintenance window, riders can call LexTran at 859-253-4636 or visit lextran.com.
