LINCOLN CO., N.C. – A Lincoln County man is accused of stabbing a woman several times with a pitchfork. 29-year-old Nicholas Tompkins is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Investigators say the pitchfork stabbing happened late last Monday night at a home on Lab oratory Road in Lincolnton. Tompkins fled the scene but was found and arrested the next day.
