Thousands of T-Mobile customers in the United States were reporting service outages Monday afternoon. According to information from outage report tracker Down Detector, users started seeing T-Mobile issues just before 4 p.m. ET Monday afternoon with the number of reports quickly exceeding 60,000 . By 6 p.m. ET, that number was down to around 20,000. “Our teams are actively working the reports of technical challenges impacting some customers. Any service impacts are in the process of being resolved and are our highest priority,” a T-Mobile spokesperson told NBC in an email. The carrier responded to an inquiry on X with a very similar statement. T-Mobile has yet to provide a service restoration ETA or elaborate on any possible cause for the issues. Some users on social media reported their phones being stuck in “SOS mode.” This is a developing story. Please refresh for updates.
