Three people were arrested over the weekend following a massive street takeover on Long Island involving more than 200 vehicles, according to police. Suffolk County Police shared video shows dozens of ATVs, dirt bikes and motorcycles flying down Route 347 on Saturday afternoon. The depar tment said “at least” a couple hundreds riders were driving recklessly and performing stunts through Hauppauge and Brentwood. The massive crowd prompted several 911 calls around 4:30 p.m. Police responded in Hauppauge and arrested two people, according to officials, and impounded a “several” vehicles. The group of riders disbanded for a time, but was spotted again in Bay Shore around 6:30 p.m. Two of the ATVs became disabled and their riders fled the area on foot.
