A fire in Sunol has burned 5 acres of grass and brush and has the potential to grow to 50 acres, according to aerial fire crews. The blaze was reported in the 1800 block of Geary Road. As of 10:23 a.m. Sunday, Air Attack crews on the scene reported the fire was burning upslope with a slow to mode rate rate of spread. Firefighters have stopped the forward progression of the blaze and laid hose lines around the fire, officials said.
