A 24-year-old man arrested Wednesday after a crash that injured two people in Allentown is now facing multiple felony charges, according to Pennsylvania State Police. On Thursday, troopers announced criminal charges against Kevin Abdiel Santiago, who police said was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Subur ban when he sped through a stop sign and struck a Mercedes-Benz at the intersection of North 6th and Cedar streets on Wednesday afternoon. Police said Santiago was charged with one count of burglary, 15 counts of receiving stolen property and 15 counts of possession of a firearm prohibited. Officials, however, did not provide additional details about the charges. According to PSP, investigators determined the 24-year-old was driving at a high rate of speed when he ran a stop sign and struck a Mercedes-Benz in the intersection. Officials said the collision caused the Mercedes-Benz to crash into a nearby home. Both occupants in the Mercedes-Benz were transported to a hospital with injuries. Their conditions remain unknown.
