An investigation is underway after a U.S. Postal Service worker died Monday. USPS released the following statement: “The Postal Service is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of a postal family member on July 20. Our thoughts are with their family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. We will be providing counseling services to our employees at the Little Elm Main Post Office as the investigation into the incident continues.” The Little Elm Fire Department responded to the dead postal worker’s vehicle near the 1600 block of Thornhill Lane around 2 p.m. Monday, when an extreme heat warning was in effect. Firefighters attempted CPR, but the person died. It’s unclear who the worker is, how old they were, or how they died. No other information was released.
