7-21-26-The Farmstand INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Rob and Jenny Bryant have grown their 3-year-old local Farmstand beyond traditional produce sales to create a welcoming weekend destination that blends fresh flowers, hand-blended teas and homemade treats with unique events like elaborate tea parties . The Bryants manage The Farmstand mainly on Saturdays alongside their full-time careers — Jenny Bryant works as a teacher, and Rob Bryant is a computer programmer. Their family’s deep roots in 4-H inspired the transformation of a former 4-H pasture into a thriving fruit farm where they grow fruit trees, berries and herbs, complemented by 15 rows of flowers that visitors can pick or use for bouquets. “We started for health reasons. Our kids were in 4-H for a long time, so after the 4-H pasture was done, we turned it into a fruit farm,” the couple said. The Farmstand operates primarily on Saturdays, with special events held on Friday or Saturday evenings. These include ticketed tea parties set outdoors beneath large shade trees. The elaborate tables feature the Bryants’ hand-blended teas, while Rob Bryant prepares all the coffee served during the events. “We host tea parties where people buy tickets to attend. They’re held under big shade trees with an elaborate table setting featuring all the fancy teas we make,” they said. Each tea party includes a three-course meal with a savory course highlighted by visually appealing cucumber sandwiches. After dining, guests can pick their own bouquets from the flower rows. “We try to offer three courses. The savory course is cucumber sandwiches, and you make them look pretty,” the Bryants said. Beyond flowers and food, the farmstead is home to goats and ducks, which visitors enjoy exploring. The Bryants appreciate the connection with guests and see the farm as a place where people can unwind. “We love having everybody over. Just watching people enjoy themselves — it started as a kind of customer appreciation day,” they said. “Visitors don’t just go to the flowers; they explore the whole property, visit our goats and ducks and take pictures of everything.” The couple emphasized the relaxing escape their Farmstand provides. “The experience gets people away from it all. They can relax and enjoy a day out at the farmstead,” the Bryants said.
