After a wonderful year with NOVA, Executive Director Bethany Podgorny is beginning an exciting new chapter as her family relocates to Sweden, where her husband has accepted a position with a symphony orchestra. While the chamber-music organization will miss her leadership, energy and dedication, it couldn’t be happier for their family as they embark on this wonderful adventure.  NOVA is deeply grateful for all she has contributed and wishes the family every success and happiness in their new home. The chamber-music series nonprofit is also delighted to welcome Hannah Thomas-Hollands as its new Executive Director. A cellist with the Utah Symphony, Thomas-Hollands brings a unique combination of artistic insight, administrative experience and infectious enthusiasm to the role. Her passion for chamber music and commitment to building meaningful connections with audiences make her an exciting addition to the NOVA team. As the organization looks ahead to a new season, it is confident that Thomas-Holland’s leadership will help guide it into its next chapter while honoring the artistic excellence that has always defined the organization. Thank you for welcoming me to the NOVA community!” This fall, NOVA Chamber Music Series invites the public to experience three unforgettable concerts that celebrate powerful storytelling, timeless masterworks and the voices of today’s composers. From themes of freedom and resilience to music of resistance and innovation, each program offers a unique journey through the chamber music repertoire. Highlights of Fall 2026 include: Sept. 27 – “Lost Freedom: Schubert Favorites,” a world premiere by Jessica Rudman and Kenji Bunch’s moving “Lost Freedom,” narrated by Plan-B Theatre’s Jerry Rapier, at the Libby Gardner Concert Hall at the University of Utah. Oct. 25 – “Russian Resistance,” a Gallery Series program at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, explores the courage and creativity of Russian composers who forged their own artistic paths. Nov. 15 – “…to the hands.” Centered on Caroline Shaw’s poignant “…to the hands,” this program, which will also be performed at the Libby Gardner Concert Hall, traces a musical conversation across centuries, pairing Shaw’s Grammy-winning work with Buxtehude’s Ad manus.
