INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Purdue University is continuing to expand and enhance its research presence in Indianapolis with the planned acquisition of The Northwest Indianapolis Research Building on the city’s northwest side. The Purdue Research Foundation completed the purchase of the state-o f-the-art laboratory facility in late June, with plans to transfer ownership to the university in the future. The 80,000-square-foot facility will more than double Purdue’s current wet lab capacity in Indianapolis, providing researchers from both the Indianapolis and West Lafayette locations more room to work, which the university says this is much needed to accelerate discovery. “The purchase supports two strategic university initiatives — Indianapolis and One Health — by fueling research innovation in human, animal and plant health while continuing the university’s enhanced presence in Indianapolis,” the university said in a release. ...read more read less
