MECKLENBURG CO., N.C. – A warning from Mecklenburg County officials, after West Nile virus has been detected in mosquitoes. We are told the virus was found in a swarm of mosquitoes on July 14. No human cases have been reported yet. Officials say most infected people show no symptoms, but the vi rus can cause fever, headaches, and rashes.
