CHAMPLIN, Minn. — An 82-year-old Minnesota grandmother who believed older adults should not lose everyday freedoms after moving into assisted living has helped change state law, allowing nursing homes and assisted living facilities to serve alcohol during organized social events without obtaining a traditional liquor license, Fox 9 reported.
