Pa. man accused of sexually abusing children, possessing child pornography
Jul 20, 2026
A Chester County man is accused of sexually abusing at least two underage children and possessing more than a thousand images of child sexual abuse material.
David Rosa, 54, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, is charged with rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, hundreds of counts
of child pornography and other related offenses.
Resources for victims of sexual assault are available through the National Sexual Violence Resources Center and the National Sexual Assault Telephone Hotline at 800-656-4673.
The investigation began on March 26, 2026, when Chester Conty detectives received cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tips reported hundreds of photos and videos of child sexual abuse that were traced to a Gmail account belonging to Rosa, according to the criminal complaint.
Investigators said Rosa was spotted in some of the images while his voice was heard in some of the videos.
After investigators executed a search warrant, Rosa was arrested on April 2, 2026. Investigators said they reviewed more than 1,000 photos and videos of child sexual abuse on Rosa’s cellphone. Investigators also said Rosa sexually abused at least two of the children depicted in the images. Rosa had stayed with the family of one of the victims for about a week in 2022, according to the criminal complaint. Rosa was found in bed with that victim underneath a blanket in the basement, investigators said.
Rosa is awaiting his preliminary hearing. Online court records don’t list an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
The Chester County District Attorney’s Office and West Whiteland Police are expected to reveal more details on Rosa and the allegations against him during a press conference on Monday, July 20, at 3 p.m. You can watch that press conference live in the video embedded on top of this article.
