Neighbors in Manayunk awoke Monday to find the roadway along Manayunk Avenue flooded due to a broken water main. Early Monday, residents near the intersection of Manayunk and Roxborough avenues saw rushing water flood the roadway and pool at parts of the street as crews worked to shut down the r ushing water due to a broken water main. Crews have been working to address the issue since a little after 4 a.m. on Monday. Several neighbors told NBC10’s Siobhan McGirl that they woke up without water at their homes and needed to go to nearby convenience stores to get water to use for the morning. However, officials did not immediately say how many homes may have been impacted by this water main break. As of about 7 a.m. crews were still working to shut off the water main before repairs could begin. NBC10 is working to learn more. This is a breaking news story.
