Police Lights (Getty Images)NEBRASKA CITY–(KFOR July 18)–One person is dead following a Friday night standoff at a home in Nebraska City. According to Nebraska City Police, officers arrested a man later identified as Jackson Kelly for first-degree sexual assault late Friday afternoon, but as off icers arrived at the jail, Kelly apparently escaped and ran off, then he later barricaded himself inside a home. The State Patrol was called in because of Kelly’s alleged possession of weapons. Eventually, SWAT team members went in and found Kelly in the basement, believed to be from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No officers fired their weapons.
