Drew Sat AM 7/18/26 TODAY A mix of clouds and sunshine with warm, muggy conditions returning. Highs reach the mid 80s, with a light northeast breeze around 5 to 10 mph. While there will be plenty of dry time, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop during the after noon and early evening. This does not look like an all-day washout, but if you’re headed to festivals, youth sports, or spending time on the lake, it will be worth keeping an eye on the sky through the second half of the day. A few storms could become severe and produce locally heavy rain and gusty winds.  TONIGHT Any lingering showers and thunderstorms gradually diminish after sunset, leaving partly to mostly cloudy skies overnight. Lows settle into the upper 60s with a light northeast breeze. Once the evening storms move out, much of the overnight period should be quiet and comfortable. TOMORROW Mostly sunny and warmer, with highs climbing into the mid 80s. An east breeze around 5 to 10 mph keeps the day from feeling overly oppressive despite increasing humidity. This looks like one of the nicest days of the forecast, making it a great opportunity to spend time outside before temperatures begin climbing again early next week. TOMORROW NIGHT Mainly clear and pleasantly mild, with lows in the mid to upper 60s. Winds become light overnight, and quiet weather continues. If you’re wrapping up the weekend outdoors, conditions should cooperate nicely with no significant weather concerns. MONDAY Sunshine returns in full force as temperatures climb into the upper 80s. A light southeast breeze develops during the afternoon while humidity begins creeping upward once again. It will feel much more like the middle of July, but rain stays out of the picture, making this another excellent day for outdoor work, practices, and travel. MONDAY NIGHT Mostly clear and warm, with lows holding near 70 degrees. Winds remain light, and there is very little relief from the daytime warmth as the hotter air mass continues settling over central Indiana. TUESDAY Mostly sunny and hot, with highs around 90 degrees. A light south breeze develops during the afternoon, and humidity becomes more noticeable. Heat once again becomes the primary weather story, and anyone spending extended time outdoors should remember to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks during the hottest part of the afternoon. 7 DAY FORECAST The weekend still carries a chance for scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms, especially on Saturday, but there will also be plenty of dry time. By Sunday, rain chances diminish considerably before a prolonged stretch of hot and increasingly humid weather settles over central Indiana. Highs climb from the mid 80s this weekend into the upper 80s and lower 90s Monday through Wednesday. Heat indices will gradually approach the mid to upper 90s, and isolated afternoon storm chances begin returning by the middle to latter part of next week. Overall, the forecast transitions from a somewhat unsettled weekend into a much more typical July pattern dominated by heat and humidity. ...read more read less
