(Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR/News Release July 17)–Lincoln Transportation and Utilities officials say portions of several streets will close beginning this Sunday, July 19 and next week. Among the closures will be from 6am to 9am Sunday at 70th and Adams for pavement markings. Detours include 84th Street, Holdrege Street and Havelock Avenue for north and southbound traffic. Cotner Boulevard, 66th Street and Leighton Avenue are the detours for east and westbound traffic. South Street between 17th and 27th streets will have an eastbound outside lane closure beginning Monday, July 20 for pavement repairs. This work is scheduled to be completed by July 30. Elsewhere, 56th Street between Van Dorn Street and Normal Boulevard will have a northbound inside lane closure beginning Tuesday, July 21, for pavement repairs. This work is expected to be completed by July 31. Southbound 70th Street between Southfork Boulevard and Nebraska Parkway and eastbound Nebraska Parkway between 66th and 70th streets will have outside lane closures beginning Monday, July 20, for the installation of a new right turn lane on Nebraska Parkway.
